Dr. Richard W. Griffin is the CEO of ARC Communications LLC of Texas.

Formally of northeastern North Carolina, Dr. Griffin’s educational background in soil science, public administration, pedology, and environmental science has guided his career pursuits of educating adolescents and adults for nearly thirty years.

Dr. Griffin holds a BS and MS from North Carolina State University, and a Ph.D. in Pedology from Texas A&M University.

A well published Professional Geoscientist, and Certified Professional Soil Scientist, Dr. Griffin has served as a University Academician, Administrator, Researcher, Consultant, and Member of State and National Boards.

Extensive travel within the United States, Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Trinidad and Tobago broadened Dr. Griffin’s cultural and biodiversity knowledge and deepened his desire to share this knowledge with others through educational programs.

In 1993, Dr. Griffin and his wife Dr. Florita Bell Griffin designed and directed the Studies in Environmental Education Program (SEEP) in Bryan, Texas. The two-year program, which received a $185,000 supplemental grant from the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, actively engaged urban multi-cultural youth in learning about environmental issues from a local and global perspective.

It was during the SEEP days of working with young brilliant minds from diverse cultural backgrounds, and noting their common interest in hands-on experiments involving creative solutions, that the idea for an art inspired multi-cultural children’s education and entertainment brand was born.

Inspired by SEEP’s success, the Griffins began exploring ways to use their passion for cultural art and artistic expression, as well as their personal art collection, to inspire and communicate positive life lessons to young audiences.

Nearly two decades later, ARC Communications LLC was organized and the Little Flower® brand and Literacy Project created.
